2 day kayak to Amantani is unique, it starts in Llachon and we paddle towards Amantani island the first day to spend one night in the middle of the lake Titicaca and the next day we kayak towards Taquile island where where we will admire the culture and the very famous textiles after visiting Taquile we will see the floating island. 2 day kayak to Amantani itinerary
Day 1 – Kayak Llachon to Amantani
Duration of kayaking: 3 hours. Distance: 10 kilometers
At 7:00 am pick transfer from your elected hotel to the harbor, then travel by motor boat towards Llachon. Meet the staff for the kayak adventure, after the safety briefing from the specialized kayak guide, get dressed with the kayak equipment and then paddle to Amantani island, experience the immensity of Lake Titicaca a perfect retreat from the city noise. Arrival and accommodation at homestay on Amantani. Lunch based on typical products, they will show you aspects of their genuine culture. In the afternoon we will hike to one of the two temples on the top of the island to observe the sunset then get back to the local house to have dinner. The comunity organize small celebration for turism everyday that is optional.

Day 2 – Kayak to Taquile and floating islands
Duration of kayaking: 3 hours. Distance: 10 kilometers
After breakfast, we paddle from Amantani to Taquile Island, observe the distant but impressive snow caped mountains on the other side of Lake Titicaca, this is a unique journey. Arrive to Taquile in here we’ll see how locals preserved their culture and ancestral organization after lunch before goinf back to Puno we go down 500 steps to the port, to head back to Puno, making a stop at the incredible floating reed islands inhabited by the Uros people. This people has the totora reeds for their homes, canoes, fuel, art and food a very impresive life style Reed boat rides can be arranged directly with the local fishermen, and then we continue back to Puno arriving at approximately 4:30pm.
